Drive RV Caravans are made in our Officer South factory right here in Victoria, Australia. We use local suppliers and employ local people and businesses to produce our caravans. They are made from the ground up, not just flat-packed and then fitted out here and claimed to be Aussie made.
No, we do not. We have a reputable dealer network throughout Australia that works exclusively with the Factory. In fact, Drive RV does not see any funds from your purchase until the caravan is built and the Dealership has taken delivery of your brand-new Caravan. A 5-10% deposit is usually paid on sign up at the Dealership and the Balance due on handover when you are looking at your new caravan.
We do not offer Factory Direct purchases at DRIVE RV.
Sandwich Panel using Fibre Glass with XPS foam is lightweight and extremely strong compared to other caravan building techniques.
Traditional Timber walls and roofs are prone to water ingress which causes major damage to caravans resulting in extremely costly repairs, not to mention mould and other issues associated with rotted timber. Also as an added bonus, Sandwich Panel not only looks fantastic it’s also very easy to maintain and keep clean.
Drive RV Chassis are made at ARV Chassis located in Epping, Victoria, they are made using Australian Steel and engineered and welded right here in Australia to handle Australian conditions.
The entire process from taking your order, setting out your plans and design, sourcing parts and the build process can take several weeks. However, once everything is in place and all parts are sourced and available, the actual build time takes approx 1-2 weeks from start to finish.
The Caravan Group Pty Ltd trading as DRIVE RV has been around a long time if you consider the total experience of each of the directors’ in the caravan industry, in fact the combined total is well over 70 years.
However, the DRIVE RV brand itself is relatively new to most of our customers, even though our CEO Dave Wilson and Directors have held pretty much every position in the industry at one time or another, including operating some of Australia’s largest manufacturing brands.
So, you can rest assured there is a wealth of experience and industry knowledge behind every DRIVE RV caravan and you are well backed from the first day to the last.
Absolutely, of course you are, there is no point in only offering Warranty when you are at home if you’re not offered warranty when you’re out and about enjoying your caravan if something goes wrong. We only ask you to contact the factory and let us work with the Authorised Repairer to get you back on the road asap.
